The Lyceum of Monterey County held our first annual watercolor contest for students, grades 6-8 throughout Monterey County. Winners were selected by Lyceum Art Instructors and are as follows: Sophie Steward – 1st Place; Liyanna Sadosky – 2nd Place; Laura Washburn – 3rd Place; and Katia Karczewski – Honorable Mention. Awards will be provided to winners from Searles Art Max, Monterey Museum of Art, and National Steinbeck Center.

The Lyceum of Monterey County is a local non-profit specializing in children's enrichment programs in art, music, math, science, humanities, and literacy. In addition, The Lyceum sponsors 3 county-wide academic events each year: Mock Trial for grades 9-12, Spelling Bee for grades 4-5, and History Day for Grades 4-12.
